More and more houses

The Elmbridge consultation on the Development Management Plan and the Settlement Investment and Development Plans (SIDs) opened on 8 April and will close at 4pm on 20 May 2013.

The Development Management Plan contains the policies against which planning applications and enforcement action will be assessed, as well as more specific policies that relate to open spaces and uses such as housing and employment.

Elmbridge is divided into eight areas for the Settlement Investment and Development Plans, of which our area is Thames Ditton, Weston Green, Long Ditton and Hinchley Wood.

This is an important matter and it is vital that residents study and comment to Elmbridge in this consultation, otherwise the planners are likely to take relative silence as your consent.

The Residents' Association draws your attention to some crucial aspects of these documents. See Planning consultation page on this website.

What's on our web site

This site, frequently updated and fully searchable, contains a wealth of useful, interesting (and sometimes quirky) information and links about the Residents' Association and its activities, about the locality, about leisure activities, about local clubs, societies, services and businesses, local authorities, policing and a great deal more. We welcome ideas and contributions of material and information from residents.

We welcome your support

The Residents' Association is for all residents and those who work in Thames Ditton regardless of party or creed. If you wish to contribute your skills and experience to support the Association in some capacity; if you have articles or photographs that you would like to submit for publication here or in our magazine; or if you would simply like to subscribe to our non profit-making Association, please contact us.

Please vote for Residents' Association candidates in local elections

We should be delighted to receive your support at election times. If you want us to bat for you, you must put us in!

Why you should consider voting for us.
