Welcome to Thames Ditton
This site features the Surrey (UK) village of Thames Ditton. The site is intended as a community resource and there is information about What's on, News, Shops, Pubs, Eating Out, Community Information, Schools, Sports and much more

Where is Thames Ditton? - The real Thames Ditton is situated about 17 miles South West of Central London (UK) between the towns of Kingston Upon Thames and Esher. Thames Ditton has the River Thames as its northern boundary and there are many pretty riverside views. Though in reality the village lost its isolation a long time ago and has since had its boundaries merged with the surrounding villages and towns, it still retains a "villagey" feel.

Local organisations and individuals are encouraged to send in any information about their events, shows, fixtures and results etc. I'm also keen to get your contributions to the site such as what's it like living in Thames Ditton, or your photographs or comments.

Attempted Abduction?
Written by Simon Finch
Sunday, 21 January 2007

Local Residents will be interested in this message sent to parents at Hinchley Wood School.

"We would like to make you aware of an incident that happened last night in the Weston Green Area.

It involved the 17 year daughter of a member of staff at Hinchley Wood School who was approached by a man thought to be of African origin.  He was insistent that she get in his car and when requested would not leave her alone.  He did not physically touch the girl and fled once she was able to attract the attention of some passers by who were known to her.

Hinchley Wood School has no involvement in this matter but felt it necessary to bring the incident to the attention of our Students and Parents."

Written by Tracy Pizzanelli
Monday, 08 January 2007
I am writing to you today to ask for your support as we urgently need to expand our existing team of helpline volunteers and we are particularly keen to recruit new volunteers in time for our next training programme, which is due to commence the week of 22nd January. As you'll appreciate this doesn't give me much time so I would be extremely grateful if you could either email the attached leaflet to all your members or incorporate it into a forthcoming newsletter.
