Thames Ditton Infants School has postponed tonight's Christmas fair due to the flooding that took place in Thames Ditton early this morning inundated the school grounds. It is expected that the school will be closed for 2 days. The new date will be advertised once the school has set it. The Residents Association website has details of the flood. |

A house in The Woodlands, Weston Green was raided by Police who found 330 cannabis plants being cultivated. Virtually every room had been adapted to grow the plants. RA Councillor Maureen Sheldrick who live just 3 doors from the house did not notice anything amiss. Police gave the drugs a street value of £20,000.

Thames Ditton resident, Angie Bent, a freelance marketer, believes she has come up with an answer to thwart the Christmas Sock Attack! . . . a free online personal gifts registry where you can list what you would like and just as importantly, what you don’t like. Angie explained: “The idea came to me after my sister had 20 mums ask her what her four-year-old wanted for his birthday. She kept giving the same range of examples and the poor little lad ended up with a lot of duplicates.”
The website www.rightgift4me.com has been launched in time for Christmas, covers all other special occasions and is an extremely secure site that kids already love using. People are even be able to say what kind of wine they like guests to bring for dinner.
