Hinchley Wood Scouts are this year offering a special postal service covering Hinchley Wood and parts of Thames Ditton.  Look out for the yellow postboxes, which you’ll find during the day at the following locations:
  • Stephens Fine Foods, Station Approach
  • 5 Greenways
  • 7 Medina Avenue
  • 20 Hillmont Road
  • 149 Manor Road North
  • 77 Claygate Lane
  • St Christopher’s Church

Service from SATURDAY 9 DECEMBER TO FRIDAY 22 DECEMBER 2006

The postboxes all bear the Scout Badge and a listing of the roads covered by the service. They will be emptied regularly and taken in overnight.
·        Please address all mail fully and legibly, including the postcode.
·        Please check the delivery area carefully as mail can only be delivered to the roads indicated on the box.
·        Then simply post your Christmas mail in one of our boxes together with coins to cover the postage (15 pence per item).
·        All mail will be delivered as soon as possible after posting.
·        The service, which is being operated by Scouts and Explorer Scouts, will commence on Saturday 9 December
·        Last collections from all boxes will be on Thursday afternoon 21 December for delivery latest on Saturday 23 December

The money raised through the Christmas Post will be used to help fund our Scouts and Explorer Scouts who are attending the 21st World Scout Jamboree next August, also to help one of our Scouts who is raising money to provide materials and to travel to Malawi to help rebuild a Scout campsite there. Any surplus will go to Scout Group Funds.  Please help our young people by using our Post, thank you!
